There is a tool around called AI Gen which even though I dont use for other
tracks actually has a great unrealised feature to build Oval AI.
An ability the tool has is to generate LP files with manually chosen
offsets (car spacing option, 1.6 meters is default) from a single LP.
Standard LP's are generated on an arc wider in a corner than where you actually
drive, so when you do your race.LP all you have to do is take that
race.LP, throw it into AI Gen tool and generate another race.LP (it
will read as pass1 or pass2.LP I cant remember which one is to the
left) with enough offset to move the AI tight into the corner apex (you
may have to experiment with the distance in car spacing box).
Naturally you will have to rename pass1 (or pass2) to race.LP also do this in a
temp folder as to not overwrite your other LP files.
I also use the outside pass.LP generated by AI Gen but still manually make my inside pass.LP.
So there you go, a great use for a tool not foreseen.
