Over the next few weeks I will show you here how to make AI cars my way which aren't always perfect but can be done in an hour or so.
Don't worry too much about any flash tools for AI making as there is very much a human element to it which I don't think any tool can duplicate.
AIGen does have a couple of uses with a little lateral thinking though, I will take you thru that thinking later on.
I do suggest you read the
GPLEA's tutorial on the subject as there certainly is valuable info there too.
You don't have to be an Alien, speed and lap times are unimportant, in fact Alien laps are usually terrible for AI cars, you do however need to have the ability to drive reasonably smooth, be able to think outside the square and simply understand that some stuff I tell you is gospel.
I can only show you how I do them but I cant relate the "feel" to you, that only comes with experience (I now usually can do all 6 LP files first time in the 6 individual laps required and they are usually releasable unless its a complicated track).
Tools you MUST have .....
1 x Winmip2
1 x
RPL2LP
1 x
LP Editor
or another
LP
Editor
Optionals..
1 x GPLRA
1 x Calculator
1 x AIGen (very valuable if doing an Oval, more on this later)
